Coaching has similarities to counselling but the emphasis is on helping the client unravel, understand and re-calibrate what their needs and wants are in life and is a huge support for overall wellbeing aspirations.

The coach also guides you to take positive action by asking you questions and helping you set focused goals and being accountable in reaching them. It is a useful overlap with counselling if the client is ready for a more direct approach.

What is Wellbeing Coaching?

Wellbeing coaching essentially views wellbeing as looking after all of you – mind, body and soul which includes some of the following:

  • Eating healthy foods which suit your body
  • Getting some of form of physical exercise and being out in nature
  • Doing more of what you love
  • Finding more joy in ‘being’ instead of just doing
  • Finding your passion and purpose in life
  • Observing and changing your thought and behavioural patterns
  • Creating more heart centred creative activities
  • Finding a way of being more in the present i.e. creating small rituals, practicing different types of meditation
  • Creating a sense of belonging to a community either online or in person

The Initial Session

The initial session is where we can discuss your overall needs and I can see whether I can help you. You can also get a feel if I am the right therapist for you. If I think that another type of therapy/therapist could be more suitable, I may be able to refer you to someone else.
